ComputerTalk enabled remote operations and reduced workload for BC Children’s Hospital Foundation

BC Children’s Hospital Foundation (BCCHF) is a nonprofit healthcare foundation supporting BC Children’s Hospital and its mission to transform child health through philanthropy. For its annual RISE for BC’s Kids broadcast, BCCHF needed a way to handle donor calls remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic while still maintaining the same call center experience, and it wanted a tested, reliable solution. ComputerTalk’s ice Contact Center with Voice was selected to help meet those needs.

ComputerTalk implemented ice Contact Center to enable BCCHF’s first-ever remote call center, allowing 80 staff and volunteers to take donation calls safely from home with no special equipment or software downloads. The solution simplified setup and logistics, supported a successful 2020 and 2021 broadcast, and helped the foundation receive over 300 calls in the first hour and more than 600 donations total in the later event. BCCHF also reported increased staff and volunteer satisfaction and reduced internal workload, showing that ComputerTalk delivered both operational and donor-engagement benefits.
