Glen Dimplex rebuilds 18-site Drupal platform with ComputerMinds and 80+ migration scripts

Glen Dimplex required a full upgrade of their Drupal 7 platform to Drupal 9 due to its impending end-of-life. The challenge for vendor ComputerMinds was to rebuild the complex platform, which powered 18 different websites with 11 themes, while retaining all existing multilingual capabilities, eCommerce functionality, and SAP integration.

ComputerMinds implemented a carefully-considered multisite setup using the Configuration Split module to manage the differing configurations across the various brand websites. They executed a large-scale migration with over 80 custom scripts to move all content and data. The solution also included a bespoke SAP integration for automated order exports. The result was a powerful, consistent web platform where content migrated perfectly and order data was seamlessly exported for SAP processing.
