HomeCase Study UZ Gent Relies on CTG to Seamlessly Replace Its Service Management Tool

UZ Gent, the Ghent University Hospital and one of Belgium’s largest specialized healthcare providers, needed to replace its HP Service Desk 4.5 service management application and integrate it with project management. The hospital’s IT department wanted a seamless transition across incident, change, configuration, and problem management processes. Computer Task Group (CTG) was brought in to support the effort with a new service management solution.

Computer Task Group (CTG) implemented an ITIL-based approach using OMNITRACKER, an out-of-the-box service and project management platform, along with best-in-breed templates and a people-focused rollout. As a result, UZ Gent now independently manages and continuously improves the solution, with more IT staff and more processes being added over time. The project also optimized project management, change advisory, and stock management processes, significantly improving efficiency and turnaround times for IT-related projects.
