Case Study: essenscia Achieves a Cost-Effective, Scalable Public Website with Computer Task Group

A Computer Task Group Case Study

Preview of the essenscia Case Study

essenscia Relies on CTG to Use Cloud Technology for a Cost-Effective, Scalable Public Website

essenscia, the Belgian Federation for Chemistry and Life Sciences industries, needed a user-friendly public website to help people identify and return found gas cylinders safely. The challenge was to create a fast, intuitive way for the public to notify the original owner of a cylinder while handling unpredictable traffic and a large, variable database. essenscia worked with Computer Task Group (CTG) to build the platform using cloud technology.

Computer Task Group (CTG) delivered a public e-counter website with a back-end workflow to email the original supplier and support safe pickup, plus administrative tools for data maintenance and reporting. By hosting the solution on Windows Azure, CTG reduced infrastructure and hardware management costs while enabling dynamic scaling for variable demand. The result was a cost-effective, scalable national program that improved the safe return of gas cylinders and supported future website updates.
