NewtekOne grows deposits to $1.5B with Computer Services Inc

NewtekOne, Inc., operating as Newtek Bank, faced the challenge of modernizing a recently acquired, traditional single-branch community bank with limited digital capabilities. Their goal was to expand into a nationwide financial services provider without relying on physical branches or brokers. To achieve this, they partnered with Computer Services Inc (CSI) and implemented the Apiture Digital Banking Platform.

The solution from CSI involved deploying Apiture's digital account opening, consumer banking, and business banking modules to create a scalable national platform. Crucially, they used embedded API Banking to integrate banking services directly into Newtek's central business client dashboard, the Newtek Advantage. This digital-first strategy drove deposit growth from $140 million to over $1.5 billion in two years, increasing depository accounts from approximately 5,000 to more than 30,000 nationwide.
