CedarStone Bank cuts teller close time from 1 hour to 10 minutes with CSI

The customer, CedarStone Bank, faced operational inefficiency and high costs from its previous "bag and drag" and branch capture methods, which involved significant overtime, paper ticket expenses, and slow end-of-day processing. Seeking a more effective technology to compete in its market, the bank partnered with vendor Computer Services Inc (CSI) and implemented CSI's Teller Capture solution to address these challenges.

The solution from Computer Services Inc (CSI) involved deploying Teller Capture to process transactions in real time at the teller station, virtually eliminating paper tickets via electronic signatures and journals. The results included dramatically reduced overtime costs, with tellers leaving soon after closing instead of staying up to an hour late, and the elimination of expenses for buying and storing paper tickets. Additionally, the bank extended transaction cut-off times to its official closing hour, greatly enhancing customer service by allowing last-minute payments to be posted on the same day.
