State of Ohio Medicaid - Customer Case Study

The Computer Merchant helped State of Ohio Medicaid address critical Phase II enhancements to its Medicaid Information Technology System (MITS), including ICD-10 assessment and remediation, ACA primary care rates, hospital DRG grouper reimbursement, and provider enrollment updates for mandatory revalidation. In early 2013, the project needed to move quickly from “red” to “green” status, creating an urgent staffing and delivery challenge.

To respond, The Computer Merchant rapidly deployed more than 30 IT consultants in just six weeks, assembling a cohesive team that included project managers, analysts, business analysts, ICD-10 C/UNIX and .NET developers, security administrators, systems programmers/administrators, and QA test engineers. This staffing and delivery support enabled the MITS integration and transformation effort to progress back on track, though no specific numeric outcome beyond the accelerated six-week ramp-up was provided.
