The New York State Department of Health needed support for NY State Medicaid’s eMedNY system, the largest and most technically sophisticated Medicaid Management Information System in the country. The Computer Merchant provided contingent IT staffing support for this Web-enabled healthcare platform, helping staff critical technical and functional roles across the program.

The Computer Merchant worked closely with the department’s IT integrator to support eMedNY operations, including eligibility verifications, claims processing, prior authorizations, the public website, data center operations, and statewide provider telecommunications. Since 2007, The Computer Merchant has recruited and deployed 90+ consultants, including project managers, data architects, web developers, programmer analysts, systems administrators, and QA test engineers, helping sustain a system that processes 450 million+ claims and encounters and 150 million+ eligibility and authorization transactions.
