WIMCO Corp, a family-owned general contractor, faced a significant administrative challenge after being selected as the nationwide "go-to" contractor for a major retailer's renovation program. The sheer volume of projects and subcontractors created a manual, time-intensive process for creating and distributing individual work orders and tracking separate insurance certificates, which strained their project management and administrative resources. To address this, they partnered with technology vendor Computer Guidance Corporation.

Computer Guidance Corporation implemented a solution using their eCMS Construction ERP suite, including Subcontract Management and eForms. This allowed WIMCO to create multi-project work orders supported by blanket insurance certificates. The new automated workflow drastically reduced the number of documents needed. For 90 projects, the number of subcontract agreements dropped from 360 to just 14.4, saving over 55 hours of labor and $6,500 in overhead costs. This freed the project manager to focus on oversight, ensuring projects were completed on time and within budget.
