A Computer AID, Inc. Case Study
The New York State Association of Counties (NYSAC) was facing pressure to adopt AI tools but its member counties lacked the resources, expertise, and a standardized framework to confidently evaluate and procure them. This manual, fragmented process left them vulnerable to rushed decisions and wasted budgets. They partnered with vendor Computer AID, Inc. (CAI) to address this challenge.
CAI facilitated an AI advisory group and developed the GovAI Trustmark dashboard, a peer-driven, web-based platform with a standardized scoring system for evaluating AI tools. The solution provided a trusted resource for evaluations, policy guidance, and educational materials. As a result, counties now make faster, more confident procurement decisions, reducing a process that once took days to just minutes. By June 2026, the platform hosted 27 AI solutions, 20 completed evaluations, and had 85 users across 32 counties.
