With MacBook and iPhone, new employees at the car-sharing provider are ready to work from day one

SHARE NOW, a carsharing provider formed from the merger of car2go and DriveNow, needed a flexible, cloud-only IT infrastructure to quickly equip new employees across Europe. They faced the challenge of onboarding staff with modern hardware on short notice without owning any solutions, aiming to mirror their own consumption-based business model. They partnered with vendor Computacenter to develop a solution.

Computacenter implemented a modular solution featuring leased Apple MacBooks and iPhones managed by Jamf, with identity management from Okta and collaboration through Google Suite. This provided new hires with secure, ready-to-use devices from their first day. The results included standardized IT that could be scaled quickly, significant cost reductions through leasing, and simplified administration. The partnership with Computacenter ensured reliable device logistics and support across all European locations.
