Volkswagen Financial Services uses relocation of the Digital Unit as the driver for digitalisation

Volkswagen Financial Services needed to rapidly establish a new, agile IT environment for its Digital Unit in Berlin to drive digitalization. Their challenge was to completely re-equip the location within a strict four-week timeframe using a 'cloud first' approach, which meant eliminating existing hardware and implementing highly flexible, cloud-based solutions.

Computacenter implemented a solution using Microsoft Office 365 and a Cisco Meraki WLAN infrastructure, configuring the entire cloud-based workstation environment for about 40 users within six weeks. The results included a significant reduction in administration effort, a greatly simplified IT environment that operates largely independently from headquarters, and increased employee motivation. Computacenter provided the new setup that allows the Digital Unit to grow dynamically and carry out the digitalization of financial products more efficiently.
