Volkswagen Financial Services, the financial division of the Volkswagen Group, faced the challenge of a tight, on-schedule deployment of new network and security infrastructure for their data centers in Braunschweig. Limited space and storage capacity in their existing facility made on-site configuration difficult, requiring an efficient alternative solution. They partnered with vendor Computacenter to address this.

Computacenter’s solution involved pre-configuring the hardware at their own Integration Center using custom shock-proof rolling cases, known as flight cases, to ensure safe, packaging-free transport. This approach minimized on-site installation time, eliminated packaging waste, and fully met the customer's security requirements. The result was a highly efficient transfer of IT infrastructure, significantly reducing the workload on Volkswagen Financial Services and ensuring maximum system performance and availability.
