Smooth sailing for Salzgitter AG with a successful rollout of Microsoft 365 across 25 companies

Salzgitter AG, working with Computacenter, wanted to create more collaborative and flexible ways of working across its group companies, especially as hybrid work demands grew during the COVID-19 period. The company needed to introduce Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams, across a complex environment of around 8,400 client workstations, while also meeting new security and organizational requirements.

Computacenter managed the Microsoft 365 rollout from requirements gathering and configuration through to proof of concept, training, and operational handover support for TELCAT MULTICOM. The phased implementation helped handle security changes and process adjustments, and by the PoC stage employee satisfaction reached 98 per cent. With Computacenter’s help, Salzgitter AG improved collaboration, productivity, and access to information, while building a foundation for more agile digital working across 25 companies.
