Case Study: Ageas Insurance Limited achieves zero-touch device deployment with Computacenter and Microsoft Autopilot

Proof of Concept of zero-touch device deployment, demonstrates major cost-cutting opportunity

Ageas Insurance Limited, a major UK insurer, was facing high costs and inefficiency from its traditional, manual process for deploying workplace devices to its over 2,500 employees. They sought a modern solution and were particularly interested in trialling Microsoft Autopilot for a zero-touch deployment. Ageas approached Microsoft, who in turn invited their partner Computacenter to participate in demonstrating the technology.

Computacenter implemented a Proof of Concept for Microsoft Autopilot, delivering it at no up-front cost. They configured the environment and registered 20 test devices, which were shipped directly to employees. The devices configured themselves automatically upon being powered on and connected to the network, achieving a full build in just 20-30 minutes with no engineer intervention. This successful POC proved a major cost-cutting opportunity for Ageas, leading them to immediately move their hardware procurement to Computacenter with an initial order for 536 laptops and to view Computacenter as a strategic partner for their future device deployment.
