Costa Coffee aimed to enhance its customer experience and boost sales by becoming more digitally engaged. The challenge was to deploy a cost-effective kitchen display screen (KDS) system in over 400 stores to facilitate a new mobile ordering app, allowing customers to order and pay ahead of their visit. Computacenter was engaged to help find the right technological solution.

Computacenter reviewed the market and presented a tailored solution, ultimately implementing Flytech K775 KDS units from Box. This system successfully integrated the mobile app with in-store operations, routing orders directly to baristas. The project was a major success, deployed to 500 stores and resulting in a marked increase in sales for Costa Coffee, all while delivering the desired cost-effectiveness.
