Digital Health and Care Wales (DHCW), a Special Health Authority within NHS Wales, needed a modern, secure, and scalable API management platform to help Health Boards, Trusts, and external providers connect to a national API service and securely store and retrieve sensitive data. Computacenter was selected to support this transformation using Google Cloud Platform, Apigee X, and related cloud services.

Computacenter designed and delivered a multi-region, enterprise-scale landing zone with Terraform automation, shared VPC networking, Azure AD integration, and secure connectivity to on-premise systems. The solution delivered a CIS-compliant, fault-tolerant, cost-optimised API platform supporting 150 million API calls per year, along with centralized operations, Cloud Armor protection, and ongoing engineering support.
