Case Study: Dataport achieves secure, efficient internet access with Computacenter and Bromium Secure Browser

A Computacenter Case Study

Preview of the Dataport Case Study

Computacenter supports public administration’s IT service provider with the introduction of encapsulated internet access based on a solution from Bromium

Dataport, an IT service provider for the public administration in six German federal states, faced a challenge with its legacy terminal-server solution for internet access. The system was inconvenient for its 30,000+ users, offered inadequate performance, and limited the number of simultaneous access points. To address this, they partnered with vendor Computacenter to implement a more secure and efficient encapsulated browsing solution using the Bromium Secure Browser.

Computacenter supplied and configured the Bromium solution, which uses hardware-isolated micro-virtualization to securely encapsulate all risky internet activity. This implementation drastically improved security by isolating threats and provided users with a much faster, more convenient browsing experience directly from their clients. The rollout was swift, with over 2,500 clients equipped within months, leading to improved security, higher user satisfaction, and reduced administration effort for the customer.
