gkv informatik, a leading service provider for statutory health insurance companies, needed to update approximately 12,000 aging thin clients to enable multimedia capabilities for staff training and video conferences. To address this challenge, they partnered with their long-standing vendor, Computacenter, to deploy new devices under an existing framework agreement.

Computacenter implemented the solution by preconfiguring Fujitsu thin clients and managing a nationwide rollout to over 600 sites in Germany, completing the project within three months. The results included a modernized client landscape that provided a cost-effective foundation for virtual training and conferences, leading to lower travel costs and improved productivity for the supported insurance companies.
