AUDI AG improves data center sustainability with Computacenter for 2025 carbon-neutral production

AUDI AG commissioned Computacenter to help develop a long-term strategy for increasing the energy efficiency and sustainability of its new data center in Ingolstadt. The challenge was to align the infrastructure with the high requirements of Audi's 'Mission:Zero' environmental programme and prepare for a potential external certification.

Computacenter, together with its partner Data Center Excellence GmbH, conducted a detailed assessment based on the Data Center Maturity Model (CLC/TS 50600-5-1). The solution provided AUDI AG with a transparent report on its data center's sustainability, delivering valid data to be incorporated into its strategy. This enables Audi to target further innovations for reducing its environmental footprint as it works towards carbon-neutral production by 2025.
