Upper West Side Family Practice, led by Dr. Vincent Esposito, faced the challenge of moving from two decades of paper charts to a modern electronic system that could capture detailed patient narratives, support two office locations, speed documentation, and avoid the overhead of in‑house billing. After evaluating more than 30 EHRs, Dr. Esposito sought a flexible, fast solution that preserved the flavor of patients’ histories and fit his workflow.

The practice implemented CGM APRIMA (EHR in 2005, then PM), and outsourced billing to Health Care Strategies, which also uses APRIMA. The integrated system eliminated stacks of paper, auto‑generated superbills, enabled faster access to labs and histories, supported remote charting, and significantly reduced after‑hours work—resulting in a leaner, more efficient practice and faster patient care.
