A Compugen Case Study
The South Eastman Regional Health Authority (SERHA) faced significant IT challenges after repatriating its network from a third party, including a fragmented infrastructure, lack of documentation, and no centralized management. This reactive environment made scaling impossible and prevented the addition of critical applications like VoIP. SERHA engaged vendor Compugen to build a new, solid network foundation using Cisco technology.
Compugen redesigned SERHA's entire regional network with new Cisco switches and routers, reconfigured the data centre, and implemented support for automated failover to a secondary site. A new, redundant Cisco Call Manager VoIP system was built on this infrastructure. The results gave SERHA full control over its traffic, a scalable network for future needs, and a secure regional phone system with a common dialing plan. Compugen's solution also streamlined IT management with a single-vendor environment.
