Kwantlen Polytechnic University saves $100K with Compugen and avoids RFP delays

Kwantlen Polytechnic University, a post-secondary institution in British Columbia, faced the challenge of modernizing its aging Aruba network infrastructure amid severe budget cuts and heightened cybersecurity risks. With funding halved from the previous year, they needed to upgrade quickly without triggering a lengthy RFP process. Partnering with vendor Compugen, they leveraged a strategic procurement agreement to address this urgent need.

Compugen implemented a solution utilizing the BCNET IVAR contract to expedite a $1.1M Aruba network order, avoiding RFP delays. This partnership resulted in substantial cost savings, including $100K on the order and an additional $200K from a previous project, while ensuring the upgrade was completed on time. The new network provided faster, more reliable connectivity and strengthened cybersecurity for the university, all while protecting its limited budget.
