Kwantlen Polytechnic University extends thin client life to 8 years with Compugen

Kwantlen Polytechnic University faced a challenge with its unsustainable traditional desktop PC infrastructure, which was costly to refresh and maintain. Compugen implemented a solution leveraging Citrix technologies, including XenApp and XenServer, alongside Dell Wyse thin clients. This new infrastructure allowed applications to be managed and delivered from a single central point to users across all campuses. The results for Kwantlen were significant cost reduction and a huge ROI, with thin clients lasting over eight years without replacement compared to multiple refresh cycles for traditional PCs.
