A Compugen Case Study
The First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) faced the challenge of building a second, fully redundant datacentre to protect critical patient health records and ensure system availability, as mandated by the British Columbia government. This was a crucial project to prevent catastrophic healthcare interruptions from system failures or cyberattacks. FNHA partnered with vendor Compugen to architect and implement this resilient solution.
Compugen implemented a hyper-converged solution using Nutanix technology, which established secure network connectivity between the two datacentres. The solution provided FNHA with a ten-minute recovery window, best-in-class security, and full compliance with privacy requirements. As a result, FNHA became the first health authority in BC with a fully functional second datacentre, achieving a full return on investment within the first 6 to 8 months and providing unparalleled peace of mind.
