Case Study: Alberta Justice Office creates a modern court communications network with Compugen

A Compugen Case Study

Preview of the Alberta Justice Office Case Study

Compugen helps Alberta Courts create a modern communications network

Alberta Justice Office, through Alberta Courts, needed a modern, fault-tolerant communications network for the new downtown Calgary Courts Centre that could support data, voice, and video across 73 courtrooms and nearly 1 million square feet. Compugen was brought in to help meet a tight construction deadline and ensure the network would be fully operational for the first court session.

Compugen designed and implemented a secure, scalable Cisco-based enterprise network with redundant core switches, Alberta SuperNet backup connectivity, full wireless coverage, and complete knowledge transfer to court IT staff. The result was a high-performance court facility with secure connectivity, robust videoconferencing, digital courtroom audio/video support, and future-ready wireless and VoIP capabilities, opening as the highest-technology court facility in North America.
