Propak, a provider of pallet management solutions with over 50 locations, was experiencing elevated safety risks at its Mira Loma facility. The management knew of hazards like cargo falling and near misses but lacked data on their frequency or how to address them effectively. The Hartford brought in CompScience and its Intelligent Safety Platform to help quantify and solve these challenges.

CompScience analyzed uploaded facility video with AI to identify and quantify specific risks. The data revealed over 10,000 "line of sight" events in two weeks. Propak used these insights and video evidence to implement new safety policies, such as operating forklifts in reverse and creating pedestrian exclusion zones. As a result, CompScience helped Propak achieve a 50-73% reduction in key risk incidents, a 24% drop in employee turnover, and a 50% reduction in lost time and DART rates.
