Kawak Aviation Technologies, a Bend, Oregon–based leader in aerial application, helicopter firefighting and custom propulsion systems, needed a modern, fully integrated system to replace an unsupported DISC inventory package and to separate operations from its sister company. Kawak selected Component Control’s Quantum to tie sales, manufacturing and accounting together, provide true aircraft traceability and meet strict regulatory requirements for STC/PMA manufacturing.

Component Control implemented Quantum with onsite training support (trainer Joel Otto) and configured modules such as imaging, manufacturing orders and routing to attach POs, material certs and QA documents directly to parts and jobs. The result: faster, module-to-module data access, a dramatic reduction in paper, real-time visibility into inventory and supply chain status, and immediate access to certifications — enabling Kawak to manage 77 first-level and 308 total open manufacturing orders while relying on just one part-time IT subcontractor. Component Control’s Quantum delivered improved QA traceability and operational efficiency.
