Case Study: EPCOR achieves LEAN MRO operations with Component Control’s Quantum MRO & Logistics Software

A Component Control Case Study

Preview of the EPCOR Case Study

Driving LEAN MRO operations with the industry’s preferred software solution

EPCOR, a wholly owned AFI KLM E&M subsidiary based at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, specializes in APU and pneumatic component repair and overhaul for a wide range of aircraft. In 2005 EPCOR needed a software solution to unify and improve business processes as part of its LEAN Six Sigma initiatives, and sought a vendor willing to collaborate on future enhancements and embed industry best practices into the system.

EPCOR selected Quantum Control MRO & Logistics Software from Component Control, working with the vendor to develop the Quantum Shop Control module for comprehensive component MRO and quality control. Component Control enabled integration of all business software into a single data repository and delivered a “living” system that evolves with industry practices. The result was an operations-focused, LEAN-optimized environment that improved responsiveness and searchability, and led parent company AFI KLM E&M to leverage Quantum to automate surplus parts sales and streamline background logistics.
