YKK, a global manufacturer of zippers and fastening products, needed to replace its outdated, premise-based quality management system when the company moved from Lotus Notes to Microsoft Outlook. Kippy Hillhouse, ISO Engineer for YKK’s North and Central America Group, selected ComplianceQuest’s 100% cloud-based EQMS (built on Salesforce) to provide a modern, flexible platform for document, training and complaint management.
ComplianceQuest led a structured migration—assigning a dedicated project manager and expert to import almost 3,000 documents—and implemented Document and Training modules with sandbox testing to preserve customizations. The EQMS went live on April 1, 2020 with 900 licenses (700 more planned), delivering faster, automated reporting (replacing processes that previously took days), streamlined workflows, improved security and multi-language support, and measurable gains in productivity and efficiency for YKK.
