Ocean Insight, an optic technology company and part of Halma plc, was growing rapidly (~15%/yr) but relied on a patchwork of manual, disparate quality systems—spreadsheets, emails, local files—with no standardized document control, duplicate corrective actions, and limited real-time visibility across seven global sites. To unify processes and enable “one system for all,” Ocean Insight selected ComplianceQuest’s cloud-based EQMS (built on Salesforce).
ComplianceQuest implemented a unified EQMS suite (QMS, EDMS, training, CAPA, complaints, equipment, audits, workflows and dashboards), replacing dozens of manual systems and enabling real-time document control, traceability and training-based access. As a result, ComplianceQuest helped cut RMA from 3% to 0.3% (90% decrease), reduce defect rates from 8% to ≤1%, save $400,000 in scrap, boost gross margin from 50% to 68% (+18 points), and shorten approvals from 6–8 weeks to minutes—while going 100% paperless and scaling globally without adding headcount.
