Global Manufacturer Upgrades ComplianceQuest EQMS to Achieve Even Greater Efficiency and Data Visibility

YKK, the global manufacturer best known for zippers and fastening products, had already moved from a legacy Lotus Notes system to the cloud-based ComplianceQuest EQMS but was not fully leveraging newer functionality. After attending a ComplianceQuest user conference, YKK’s quality team identified gaps—limited module use, manual forms and approvals, and poor analytics visibility—and set out to expand and modernize their EQMS footprint.

YKK upgraded to ComplianceQuest Version 13 and 13.1 and rolled out new and enhanced modules (including expanded CAPA, Controlled Document, Training, Equipment and planned additions like Supplier, Nonconformance, Project Plan and Embedded Analytics), adopted the forms builder, e-signatures, MyCQ dashboards and analytics. The ComplianceQuest implementation sped approvals, automated manual processes, improved KPI tracking and plant-level visibility, and cut past-due CAPA investigation and action items by an average of 50–80 percent.
