Kosmo, a leading Eastern European health & beauty retailer with 100+ stores across 41 regions and over a million loyalty members, faced heavy promo pressure (over 60% discounted items), vendor-driven promotions, rule-based competitor pricing, bulky ERP/Excel systems, and more than 100 price zones with varying elasticity. To address these challenges, Kosmo partnered with Competera and used Competera’s pricing platform to move from reactive competitor-based rules to data-driven pricing.

Competera delivered regular demand-driven price and promo recommendations (2–3k weekly algorithmic suggestions) and ran a nine-week market test (toothpaste test group vs. toilet paper control).
