How Allo increased its recommendation widgets CTR 2.5 times using the knowledge of product's market position

Allo, one of Ukraine’s largest omnichannel electronics retailers with dozens of stores and a high‑traffic online shop, faced a persistent problem: customers were missing the best-priced products online and price cuts alone didn’t boost sales. To fix this, Allo partnered with Softcube and Competera, leveraging Competera’s price intelligence/price verification to identify and promote items that were the cheapest on the internet.

Softcube added a recommendations block with a “Check price” button while Competera guaranteed the showcased goods were competitively priced; together they deployed a new recommender. The impact was clear: products with the “Check price” button received 113% more impressions, recommendation CTR jumped 346%, purchases after recommendation clicks grew 4×, and the share of best-price products among purchases increased 4.9× — all driven by Competera’s solution.
