Elkjøp, the largest omnichannel consumer electronics retailer in the Nordics with 414 stores and ~200,000 SKUs, faced the imminent launch of Amazon Sweden and needed real‑time, comprehensive competitive pricing data to keep prices lower and protect market share. Their existing provider covered only ~42–45% of the assortment and couldn’t scrape Amazon, so Elkjøp partnered with Competera to extend coverage and enable Amazon price monitoring.
Competera deployed a rapid PoC and integrated its pricing platform, product matching and competitive data scraping (including Price Index Analytics), switching from Amazon.de to Amazon.se within 8 hours of launch. Competera now delivers about 1,000,000 data points monthly, ~60,000 product matches, tracks ~46% of Elkjøp’s assortment on Amazon Sweden with 99% SLA, and helped drive measurable outcomes including a 4.5% uplift in gross profit.
