NOVUS, a major Ukrainian supermarket chain, needed a more advanced way to manage pricing across its stores, distribution, and import businesses. Working with Competera, NOVUS looked to move beyond SAP’s rule-based pricing approach and reduce manual, error-prone repricing while improving profitability, competitiveness, and pricing decisions based on demand elasticity, cross-product effects, and market dynamics.
Competera implemented an AI-powered pricing automation solution integrated with NOVUS’s SAP environment, using historical sales and inventory data, competitive intelligence, automated repricing, and what-if simulation capabilities. After a 6-week pilot, the test group using Competera’s pricing algorithms delivered a 6.7% increase in profits and a 0.3% increase in sales, while also eliminating manual pricing errors.
