UNIQA Group, one of the largest insurance companies in Central and Eastern Europe, faced significant bottlenecks in its document management system. The legacy system struggled to handle the conversion and simultaneous access of over 200 million documents in various formats for 10,000 users, and its outdated Java-based web interface was no longer viable. To modernize its operations and ensure future-proof access, UNIQA partnered with vendor Compart.

Compart’s solution, implemented with integration partner Docolution, centered on the DocBridge Mill Plus software for powerful, high-volume document conversion. This new platform-independent system was seamlessly integrated into a modern HTML5 and JavaScript web front end, enabling fast, on-the-fly processing and reliable access to documents. The implementation was swift, and the new system successfully handles 40 million new documents annually, eliminating previous delays and supporting the workflows of all 10,000 users with high processing speed.
