A Compart Case Study
The State of Burgenland, an Austrian state administration handling nearly half a million outgoing documents a year, needed a way to move from mostly paper-based mailings to a more efficient multi-channel process. With legal and operational requirements pushing toward digital communication, it had to support both electronic delivery and traditional postal mail for recipients not yet registered for e-delivery. Compart provided the DocBridge Pilot solution to help manage this transition.
Compart implemented a centralized dual-delivery system that checks whether recipients are registered with an approved electronic delivery service and routes documents accordingly: digital items go out electronically, while others are prepared for print and handled by the EBRZ data center for mailing. DocBridge Pilot also adds metadata, barcodes, and supports bundling multiple documents to the same recipient, improving workflow and reducing postage costs through centralized output management. The state reported strong performance and reliability, and the setup now serves as the foundation for expanding dual delivery across more applications.
