A Compart Case Study
The State Government of Carinthia modernized document delivery for criminal proceedings as part of an administrative reform, introducing a “dual delivery” model in which registered recipients receive documents electronically while everyone else still gets hardcopy mail. To support this hybrid approach and keep printing in-house, the government worked with Compart and its DocBridge Pilot-based output management setup to handle physical and digital delivery from a central print center.
Compart implemented a centralized, highly automated output management system that checks delivery eligibility, converts and routes PDFs for printing, adds barcodes for enveloping, and optimizes mailing and postage classes. The solution helped Carinthia consolidate output management, simplify invoicing, and achieve end-to-end traceability across document creation, printing, and delivery; the print center now processes about 1.5 million pages annually into roughly 450,000 mailings, while supporting a broader environment of about 20 million additional pages from local printer systems.
