Unilever Belgium needed a more flexible way to run its business intelligence and SQL Server data warehouse workloads, which require high-performance processing for a few hours each day. The company turned to COMPAREX and Microsoft Azure IaaS to help address the challenge of optimizing end-of-business-day data processing without relying on static on-premises infrastructure.

COMPAREX designed and implemented the Azure IaaS solution, along with training, disaster recovery procedures, and support, enabling Unilever to quickly scale virtual machines up and down on demand. As a result, Unilever gained the flexibility to manage performance without infrastructure specialists and reduced service consumption costs compared with its previous on-premises setup, paying only for compute resources when they were actually running.
