Info Edge (I) Ltd, the company behind Naukri, needed a stronger disaster recovery strategy for its mission-critical internal applications running across a heterogeneous environment, including Dynamics NAV, MS SQL, Exchange, Linux-based custom apps, Hyper-V, and VMware/physical systems. While it already had local backups, it wanted a remote DR site with 15-minute RPO and 1-hour RTO, plus the ability to test recovery without disrupting production. Comparex and Microsoft Azure Site Recovery were chosen to meet these requirements in a cloud-based, cost-effective way.

Comparex implemented Azure Site Recovery to build a DR site in Azure, first protecting Hyper-V workloads and then VMware/physical systems, achieving 100% coverage of Info Edge’s critical internal applications. The solution enabled regular non-disruptive DR drills, easy access from anywhere, automated replication, and the ability to meet the desired RPO/RTO targets. Info Edge also reported about 70% cost savings versus an on-premises secondary DR site, along with simpler scalability and protection.
