Full-Service storage for assembly specialist
Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG, a leading wholesale specialist in assembly and fastening materials, needed to modernize and scale its storage environment across two sites in Germany and Switzerland without interrupting daily operations. Vendor COMPAREX was tasked with delivering a new SAN and storage architecture, including data migration and ongoing storage support, using Hitachi Data Systems’ Virtual Storage Platform and related software.
COMPAREX implemented a high-availability, two-country storage solution with local synchronous mirroring, disaster recovery capabilities, and secure migration for Windows, AIX, and Linux systems. The result was a flexible, scalable “storage-on-demand” design that protected data, preserved application performance during migration, and reduced operational complexity through managed SAN and storage administration through 2015.
