The Timken Company, a global manufacturer of engineered bearings and mechanical power transmission products, needed a reliable disaster recovery approach for its European IT infrastructure. To meet aggressive recovery point and recovery time objectives, the company worked with COMPAREX and leveraged Veeam Backup & Replication with Microsoft Azure for cloud-based disaster recovery.

COMPAREX implemented a solution using Veeam Cloud Connect and Microsoft Azure to replicate and restore virtual machines without the cost and complexity of building offsite infrastructure. The result was reduced RPO and RTO to under one hour, more than 30% lower backup and recovery costs, and 24/7/365 availability to support business operations and customer service.
