Backup and fast data recovery (Disaster Recovery) with Azure

Auto Jarov, the largest car dealership in the Czech Republic, needed a reliable disaster recovery plan for its key ERP system and Active Directory. After a past fire and the opening of a new branch, the company wanted a geographically separated backup solution that could protect operations without disrupting customers. COMPAREX proposed a cloud-based approach using Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Hyper-V.

COMPAREX implemented a cost-effective disaster recovery solution with replicated virtual machines and cloud storage in Microsoft Azure. The ERP system can now be switched from on-premises servers to the cloud in about 30 minutes, helping Auto Jarov recover quickly even after a major server-room failure. The setup also reduced infrastructure costs by replacing the previous VMware environment and avoids the expense of dedicated standby hardware.
