Matras S.A., a leading book distributor in Poland with more than 100,000 titles across 180 stores, needed to replace its existing ERP system to support rapidly changing business demands. After evaluating on-premise and public cloud options, Matras worked with COMPAREX to choose Microsoft Azure as the platform for its ERP solution, mainly to handle strong sales seasonality, higher query volumes, and to leverage existing IT infrastructure with lower upfront investment.

COMPAREX designed and supplied the Microsoft Azure public cloud platform, integrating it with Matras’s network and identity systems, building virtual machines for production use, and running functional, performance, and security tests throughout the project. The result was a scalable, secure, and cost-efficient ERP environment with low initial hardware costs, pay-only-for-usage pricing, and the ability to adjust capacity as needed; Matras reported substantial savings from the beginning and improved efficiency at go-live.
