UK’s Family Fund Fights Spam with Comodo Antispam Gateway

Family Fund, the UK’s largest provider of grants to low-income families raising disabled or seriously ill children and young people, was struggling with unsolicited email and email-sending issues caused by infected computers on its network. The organization had trialed and purchased Comodo Cybersecurity’s Antispam Gateway to help reduce spam and protect email communications.

Comodo Cybersecurity quickly investigated the problem and identified that the gateway’s outbound email limits had locked certain accounts after they were sending two to four emails per minute. The vendor then helped Family Fund replace its existing anti-malware approach with Endpoint Security Manager, which was installed and configured within a couple of hours. This reduced the risk of spam-sending infections, saved time that would have been spent on blacklist removal, and improved day-to-day administration and support response times.
