Community Government Will Protect its IT Infrastructure with Comodo Endpoint Security

The City of Danville, Illinois faced increasing malware risk to its resident records, finances and utilities and needed stronger, easy-to-manage protection that wouldn’t tax a small IT team. The City turned to Comodo Cybersecurity and chose Comodo Endpoint Security Manager (ESM) to shift from legacy detection to prevention and containment.

Comodo Cybersecurity implemented Comodo ESM’s Default Deny architecture, five-layer defenses and patent‑pending containerization with smart filtering to run unknown files safely, while providing a single dashboard and remote endpoint control that permits only approved applications. As of July 2015 ESM was installed on department workstations and servers with full rollout expected by month‑end, delivering real‑time on‑device containment, minimal performance impact and centralized management that prevents zero‑day malware.
