Yura Corporation, a global automotive electric and electronic component manufacturer based in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, needed to ensure continuous manufacturing operations and protect critical systems (including SAP, email, and e-approval records) from data loss caused by natural disasters. With most disaster recovery centers located in South Korea, the company faced the dual challenge of adding offshore protection while reducing cloud backup costs and simplifying backup management across 46 sites and 30 TB of data.

Yura deployed Commvault Complete Backup & Recovery, integrated with Microsoft Azure and implemented by partner Newcom, to run regular offshore backups and consolidate backup, archive, and restore functions. The solution’s deduplication, centralized visibility, and simplified scheduling reduced storage and migration workloads, lowered costs, minimized disruption risk to manufacturing, and improved recovery speed and operational efficiency.
