Shomera, an insurance company, faced fragmented backup processes across NetApp storage, AS400/IBM iSeries servers and tape systems. The organization needed to move backups consistently to disk, simplify disaster-recovery management, expand protection for Microsoft 365 and support an upcoming Microsoft Exchange migration.

Partnering with We Ankor, Shomera deployed Commvault Complete Backup & Recovery on NetApp FAS2554/FAS2720 with Fujitsu media agents and a B2D cloud backup for Microsoft 365, consolidating tape, AS400 and disk backups into one platform. The solution reduced backup windows, increased reliability, improved RTO/RPO, eased management and testing via Live Sync disaster-recovery replication for offsite copies, and smoothed the Exchange migration.
