Protecting critical patient-care data at Baptist Health, from restores to ransomware

Baptist Health, a large health system based in Jacksonville, Florida, needed to protect critical patient-care data while simplifying management across a growing hybrid cloud environment and staying ahead of ransomware and compliance demands. With Commvault Cloud, Baptist Health aimed to improve backup reliability, restore speed, and data-request handling across on-premises systems and Microsoft Azure.

Commvault implemented Commvault Cloud HyperScale X and Compliance Software to provide a single pane of glass for hybrid management, immutable backups, MFA, air gap controls, and faster records retrieval. As a result, Baptist Health restored data two to three hours faster, cut backup and restore management time in half to save about 40 person-hours per week, and increased deduplication by three percentage points to help reduce Azure and infrastructure costs.
